Hi friends, you guys are awesome and I love reading your blogs. Today was a decent day, except I felt a little cranky when I got off work, and then when I got home my computer wasn't working...thankfully it is better now although I'm not really sure what was wrong. Tonight hubby watched the final game of college basketball, I really don't care so I made dinner and read a food network magazine my Mom bought for me.
Today we tried the smart and delicious tortillas...I might have to agree with Kay they are weird. After this package we might have to go back to corn tortillas. I had one for breakfast and for dinner we had breakfast burritos with bacon, scrambled eggs, chives, sour cream and cheese...very tasty and quick.
About beer can chicken, it's so easy to make all you need is a stand I bought mine at walmart for $5 in the grill section...you salt and pepper your chicken and take a can of pop, beer, juice basically anything works and doesn't affect the flavor and pour about half of the liquid out...you then put the butt part of the chicken over the can and stand...put a piece of citrus or potato in the neck and cook on the bbq for around 2 hrs. The chicken comes out super moist and tasty and all the grease goes into the can.
Fellow bfc friends you guys rock and I am very thankful for all of you. I know we can reach our goals...I propose a toast: cheers to a successful April...may it be another step towards our goals. :)
I'll second that - Here - Here!!
ReplyDeleteI guess about the tortillas - I have been eating them for quite a while, so maybe I am used to them. They taste better if you warm them up on a big flat pan then flip over and add cheese and fold in half. like a quesidilla.
Have a great day girl :-)
I will toast with you too!! Clink Clink!! ;)
ReplyDeleteI eat another brand then Smart and Delicious, but not sure if they are available where your at because the factory that makes them is actually in the town I live. Ole Wellness Wraps (I get the high fiber ones).
I am going to have to try that beer can chicken, I will be looking for a stand next time at Walmart. Thanks for sharing and have a great day!! :)
Toasting as well...Salud! WE CAN DO THIS!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to know I am not the only one who thinks the tortilla's are "odd"!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on 3 years! I have a daughter about your age I think. Please tell me your hubby is a Gonzaga fan:) They weren't in the finals, but they are our hometown boys. The girls did fabulous!
Great job Katie and thank you for your encouraging words:)
