Hello everyone, happy Sunday :) This past week hubby and I have been very good on the food side of things. We decided that after super bowl we were going to be more disciplined and stop making so many excuses for what we do. I have found that the weekends can do more damage to me than the week, because on the weekends we often go out for dinner or just drinks and appetizers. Have you ever noticed that often appetizers are pretty carby? It seems that flat breads, or toasts for dip or fried things are popular. This weekend hubby and I stayed home and drank tea instead of wine while we caught up on  Top Chef and Dexter. I love this season of Top Chef  this season they are in Seattle and it's fun to see them go places that hubby and I have been. My only complaint about Top Chef is Padma, I can't stand her I find her condescending and annoying. I am pulling for Brooke to win it all.

I am afraid my computer might be dead (right now I'm on hubbys) I asked hubby to take it to a computer wiz at work to see if he can fix it, but hubby thinks the hard drive is fried :( Very frustrating, but it might be good for me to have limited computer access for awhile I know I waste a lot of time just playing around.

Well, I guess that's all for now it's time to get up and be productive.  Have a wonderful Sunday :)

  1. Hi Katie. I know what you mean about the computer. I can waste hours just surfing aroud and reading blogs and such. It's a bad habit sometimes. I don't watch top chef, but I am into the new show Taste right now. I have to catch up on that, and I want to start watching Downton Abbey on demand too. Have a great rest of the weekend! XO

  2. Hi there its great to hear from you and that you are both doing well. I had such an old laptop, so slow and heavy that hubby forced me to get a new one. I got a Acer at the Microsoft store with a touch screen only $599 - thank goodness for credit cards.
    Have a great day.

  3. Happy Sunday to you too! I agree it seems like a good idea to reign in the weekends - they are notorious diet breakers. A whole week of 'being good' down the drain from one meal out isn't right, but it's how it is.

  4. I love Top Chef too!! I don't mind Padma too much and we LOVE Tom! For this season I'm hoping that Brooke wins it all too. I wouldn't mind Shelton but I do not want that guy with the funny mustache winning - don't like him. Have you been watching "Last Chance Kitchen" on the computer? One of the Chefs that was sent home is going back in.
-Also, I have to agree with Dawn about the weekends. It's just not worth it to be so darn good all week and then ruin it on the weekend. I will admit it is extremely hard to be good sometimes when dinners out, and social events come up.

  5. Good to see you post Katie! Aren't we lucky that we didn't get the snow the East Coast got?
Keep blogging, it will keep you on track!
FYI, the lap top that I took to best buy and their geek squad told me was toast, my son in law fixed in about an hour....after I had bought a new one:( I am glad that I have the new one, and I gave my grand daughter the old one, but really? There are some really good computer geeks on craigslist.
