Hello everyone, sorry I have been a little MIA lately, I've been a mixture of busy and also just plain lazy. Last Tuesday hubby and I had a lovely Valentines Day, hubby cooked us steak, shrimp and asparagus and we enjoyed some delicious red wine. We decided that we need to be a litttle more disciplined about our red wine intake because we both put on several lbs the past several weeks to to wine and carb indulgence. I have decided to stop weighing myself for awhile because I found I was getting obsessed with the number on  the scale. Right now I am focused on healthy bfc/ft eating and exercise, and lots of water.

I just wanted to make this a quick post to let you know that I have not fallen off the wagon. I took time to re-focus on my eating and exercise. I saw this picture on pintrest and it is so motivational to me I had to share it with all of you. I will write a more detailed post in the next several days and I will share some pics of the flax bread/muffins I have been making for breakfast. (I don't want to bother hubby with putting the pictures on the computer tonight because he is busy with homework)

Big hugs to everyone, and special thoughts to my friends who are going through tough times, I am sending you lots of love from Washington State :)

  1. I'm glad you're doing so well. I totally believe that picture. A few lbs make a big difference know-such an awareness.

  2. Those are great visuals! I have had to rediscipline myself, too, and remind myself just how much a 5 ounce glass is. Its too easy to over pour.

  5. I love the pictures! It is so funny when I hear people say things like 5 lbs of muscle weigh more than 5 lbs of fat. 5 lbs is 5 lbs, but your pictures illustrate the difference in the size of that 5 lbs!
Knowing your success by sticking to the basics will help you get back on track. That and some nice weather wouldn't hurt!
    Did you get your house?

  6. When I had the bod pod measurement done, the lady showed me a model of 5 lbs. of fat and a model of 5 lbs. of muscle. The fat model was approximately double the size of the muscle model, so although the visual you provided is great, seeing models of fat and muscle is so shocking because you know that that is what is in your body, and you definitely want the muscle. She said that's why two people can be the same height/weight and one fit into skinny jeans and the other person can't.

  7. Hi Katie, I've been a little missing in action myself! No worries! Thank you for the supportive comments you left on my blog, you have no idea how nice it was to read.
Can't wait to see the flax bread/muffins you've been making. I'm catching up and have to try those still!
