Hello everyone, this afternoon I listened to "The Truth About Sweeteners" by Dr. David Getoff...WOW. I agree with what Rosalie said the other day about never buying truvia again, I honestly had no idea that not all stevia products are not created equal. I am trying to wrap my mind around all that he said.

I am proud to say that I have been staying away from the wheat thins and cheez-its at work!!!! Whooo Hooo! I have been drinking a ton of water, I read that if we are not well hydrated our metabolism goes down 3%. My discipline is paying off I am down 2.5 lbs :) yeah!!! I feel super motivated to keep being good, my goal is to be 140 by the end of July.

That's about all I have to say for now I just finished making lunches for tomorrow and after I jump on pinterest it's time for bed.

  2. Wow down2.5lbs is great! I'm still not sure about that David Getoff and all he says. It seems like we can find an "expert" to agree or disagree with anything we want. You know what I mean? Good for you with the water increase, I need to do more of that myself!

  3. Katie I am so proud of you!! You are doing so GREAT!! And that was something about Dr Getoff huh?? Who knew? I loved Truvia and it was my absolute favorite - but now that I got the Sweetleaf Stevia clear drops - I think I like them MUCH BETTER. It tastes much cleaner.
    Have a good one :-)

  4. I listened to some of that audio with Dr Getoff, but ran out of time and missed the Truvia part. What did he say about it? Bummer because I just bought a tub of the scoopable truvia to bake with and havent opened it yet. I use sweetleaf for my tea, but find it's too bitter to use in muffins and baked goods (although I havent been eating many baked goods.

    1. Carey he said that Truvia has such a teeny-tiny bit of stevia in it - it is misleading - it's garbage. I am so disappointed too. Truvia was my favorite - I'm not using it any more. Just plain stevia for me and Xylitol for my baked goodies :-)

    2. Well that's a bummer since I bought a scoopable container! I do have xylitol and sweetleaf stevia in the packets and mostly use that, anyhow :)

  7. Katie I liked your ideas to use up the sugar! We use it for our hummingbird feeders - they need the extra sugar. About the Truvia, anything processed with chemicals is the same! I ended up buying a stevia plant, two actually. Both died! But I really just weaned myself from sweeteners now and very rarely use them.
