Getting Settled In

Hello everyone, the move is done and we are finally getting settled in our new house. Some days I feel really excited about getting settled and putting everything away, others I just feel tired and overwhelmed with getting organized. I've had a big sweet tooth this week so I made more coconut pumpkin muffins and chocolate almond cookies I like using the nustevia I find I use less of it than I did truvia. I've also been a little bad and I've been eating sugar-free instant pudding and oreos, I feel bad like I am poising myself with sucralose. I feel once in a while in small amounts is ok but I've really been eating a lot of pudding. And you know what, the sugar free pudding isn't even that good it has that gross fake taste to it.

I changed my settings on my comment form to make things easier so please let me know if it isn't any different. Have a great weekend everyone :)

  1. Congrats on the move! Go slow with setting up/organizing the house....You have your whole life to organize it so why stress out about it? And dont beat yourself up over the splenda, I dont eat it because it is now starting to give me headaches like aspartame does. It's weird, I was eating these SF Lifesavers and getting headaches and sure enough, there was sucralose at the bottom of the ingredient list that I had completely missed. Oh well, live and learn. Now I just eat my SF milk chocolate bar (Simply Light) from Trader Joes (never really able to get into the dark chocolate).
    Happy Sunday!

  2. I really know how you feel about the move and feeling so out of sorts. It is so easy at this time to go off our eating plan. Just be strong and try to keep making good decisions.
Have a great day and enjoy your new place. :-)

  3. I agree with Carey, take your time with the settling in! But not like us where after 12 years, there are still some boxes that need to be unpacked in the basement! The best advice that I have never used...if you haven't used it for 6 months, get rid of it!
I am eating some sucralose foods and truly, if I am going to poison myself, it would not be from that. I eat way more unhealthy things than that. If you go to Trader Joe's, they have the pecan cookies that are 1 sugar per cookie. They are little, but they are satisfying and not artificial.
It's jean time so I am very aware that I have gained:( But it is a good reminder to get myself back in gear.
    We can do this!

  4. Don't sweat the small stuff...and its all small stuff :-) You are doing great! It's September and you are moved in, make your world function so you can move forward, if that means you eat a splenda once in a while don't sweat about it. Be kind to yourself.
    Hugs Enjoy you new home.

  5. Congrats on the house Katie. Things will come together, little by little. I use the NuStevia that you previously wrote about. I buy the drops. I really like it. Good luck with unpacking! XO
