Happy Thanksgiving
Hello friends I hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving, we really enjoyed ours. Thank you for all the nice comments about my cold, I am feeling much better and thankfully I wasn't coughing up a lung or sneezing on Thanksgiving.

I felt good about what I ate: Breakfast pumpkin oatmeal. Chicken soup as a snack before going over the the in-laws. My favorite appetizer was picked asparagus wrapped in cream cheese and ham. I had two glasses of red wine and a  little bit of everything I wanted, but only a tiny amount of stuffing, sweet potatoes and mashed potatoes. I felt like the amount of food I ate was similar to a normal dinner I didn't overeat and I felt really good. I only had two bites of pumpkin pie. The only thing that I had a hard time with was these sweet and spicy almonds my Mom brought she covered the almonds in a mixture of butter, brown sugar and pepper.

I am grateful that we talked so much about holiday food and plans the past several weeks, I felt that I was able to enjoy the holiday without stressing about food. I felt good about myself and how my clothes fit. I am hoping to continue to be good about holiday eating so I can say the same thing about how I feel at Christmas.

I am really thankful for the bfc this year, I feel that this journey into low sugar and better carbs has introduced me to so many new things that I love. I am committed to a low sugar lifestyle and I am trying to get my family on board. I really appreciate all my blogging buddies I don't think I would still be doing the bfc without your support and help. You guys are awesome and I love and appreciate you :)

  1. Good morning Katie! So happy to hear that you had a nice holiday & were so in control. I felt in control too, which was great, but the scale still inst being too kind to me so its back to basics & brass tacks for me!!
You are a blessing to our blogging group & I love to read your posts!!! Thanks for being the sweet & wonderful gal that you are!!
    Love & Hugs

  2. Sounds like you had a great holiday! I agree about the blog circle - it's a great support network and you are appreciated too!

I think peppermint extract in the mocha is a great idea! You wouldn't need much at all. I'd leave out all the other spices, except maybe keep in the vanilla. mmm.

  3. We appreciate you to Katie! Sounds like you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I have made those nuts before, and they can be addicting! Enjoy the rest of the weekend. Hugs from me to you!

  4. So glad you had a nice Thanksgiving! I totally agree with you about being thankful for finding the BFC this year! Not only has it helped us to lose weight, it more importantly has helped us to live a healthier lifestyle. I've never had support when dieting before I it makes such a HUGE difference! I'm also thankful for all my blogging buddies!

  5. Great job Ms. Katie! I have said before that I really wish that my daughter would join on board with the low sugar idea. She is just being stubborn now! Maybe now that she is away from home she will start so I can't say "I told you so"!
    Enjoy your weekend:)
I think we are all really blessed to have one another. I think Dawn, you and me should meet out in the Valley somewhere, there would be 1/2 way for all of us! We could discuss how awesome we all are and eat!

  6. Are my comments coming through? I havent been able to comment on anyones page and haven't recieved any comments on my blog in over a week!

  7. ...I love those nuts too! So happy you had a good holiday-you deserve all kinds of goodness.

  8. You're doing great! It sounds like you were on top of things and had a great, stress free day.

  9. Boy it sounds like you had a great day and did not over do it at all. I really appreciate our little blogging group also and would not be where I am today without it.
    Have a great day :-)

  10. Katie, I am glad you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I hope you are feeling better too. I really enjoy your blog and appreciate you too.
