Good morning everyone!!! First of all have you guys noticed that it seems tons of words are underlined and now have links to them???? What's up with that??? And does anyone know how to disable it? ???It annoys me that the things I say have links to them that I did not put there.

What a week it felt like it draged on and on, mostly because work was slow but I had several late days because although it was slow things did not end early. Monday we looked at the house that we are in the process of buying :) The renters recently moved out so we were able to see it empty for the first time, which was very helpful to get a better picture of what shape the house is in. Things have been moving VERY SLOWLY because the house is in short sale. Our parents came with us on Monday and they had a lot of good ideas and suggestions, even though hubby and I are entering our 30's it still feels good to get our parents opinions on things :)

Foodwise it was  a good week for me I did really good staying away from all the sweets and carby things at work, and I stayed strong in my decision to not have any alcohol for awhile. The quote I posted from Dr. Atkins about alcohol postponing weight loss really hit home with me. This will be a challenge for me because I really enjoy a nice glass of wine after a long day, or a cold beer on a hot summer day.....but I am ready to stop making excuses and just to make some sacrifices to get to where I want to be. I feel like I talk about alcohol a lot and if any of you are wondering if I have a problem I want to assure you I don't. It is just a struggle for me because it's something I enjoy.

So that's what I've been up to lately, just pluggin along trying to be good, waiting for news on our house. I hope everyone has a nice weekend :)

  1. Of course you don't have a problem with alcohol, other than it has useless calories!
I am excited for you on the house. Is it in a good neighborhood? I know that is a dumb question, but there are a lot of neighborhoods with young families moving in and making them really nice. Will you get access to the house to paint and do things before you get the keys?
When that happens you will probably be too busy to eat or drink:)
I'm glad to see that you had a great week. I'm almost ready to get myself back in the game:)
    Have a great hoopfest weekend!

  2. Thanks Kay!!! Yes the neighborhood is nice and worth waiting for it's near Wilson Elementry on the south hill. Our realtor said that we would probably be able to get in and paint before things close, so hopefully that works out, right now we are still waiting for the inspection so hopefully everything is good with that. Have a wonderful hoopfest weekend :)

  4. Sounds like good news all around. Have you checked the neighborhood in the evening time when everyone is home? We do this when we're buying a new house. It can give you an idea of whether or not you have loud neighbors, etc., and helps you to avoid any potential unknown problems that you wouldn't see during the daytime.

  5. I don't think you have an alcohol problem. I also enjoy a cold beer on a hot day, or a nice glass of wine in the evening sometimes. I'm so excited for you about the house! It's nice that the parents can give you some advice and suggestions! That's what they're there for! I haven't noticed any problems with underlined links - but now I'll be looking for them.

  6. Hi Katie...feels great to touch base with blogger friends again! Funny you mention alcohol because I just started reading THE SKINNY RULES by Bob Harper and that's one of his rules: no alcohol. I think he does talk about though that red wine is not as bad as the rest.

  7. HI Katie! I for one totally understand where you are coming from. That is one thing I just can't give up...my daily wine, or a cold beer down the shore. So, so happy for you that you are getting a house. I know you have wanted one for so long. Hope the move in goes well. Sending hugs from me to you!
