Happy Labor Day

Hello everyone, sorry I haven't been around much I have had a hard time posting this last week. Everything in my life is good I've just been cranky and irritated, it must be hormones and the usual stress. I don't know what is up with my weight but I've been trying to get lots of fiber in. I've also started taking probiotics again and that seems to be helping. I went to pick up some more chia seeds and they were out :( probably because they were on sale, so I picked up some shelled hemp seeds. Which I have been adding to my salads.

Today I am hoping to have a nice relaxing day reading, baking, maybe some shopping. Saturday I went to Boarders to see if there was anything I wanted since they are going out of business and I got Drink This Not That by David Zinczenko and the Kind Diet by Alicia Silverstone. Both books have a lot of helpful things to say about sugar and at 60% off I felt they were worth buying.

  1. I've missed your posts! It seems like we all go through those weeks, it's the ones of us that jump back in, that will be successful! It's bizarre because sometimes I feel like this is the easiest thing I have ever done, and then I feel like I really, really want something bad for me.
    I really do think fiber is key and it is like a light bulb going off when I realize it. The PB cookies that Dawn made were great for my Fiber source and it didn't occur to me until last night when I hadn't had them for 2 days.

  2. HI Katie. I've been away for awhile too. So busy with work and then we were away for the holiday weekend. Let me know how the Kind Diet is. I saw her on a TV show and what she said really made sense. I forget what recipe she brought ( maybe brownies?) but everyone rave about how good they were. Take care and have a good weeek.

  3. Hi Katie, Boy I've had weeks like that too! You know, just kind of Blah. It's weird that you posted about the shelled hemp seeds, because I was just researching them. They are supposed to be really good for you - a perfect protein. I was thinking about picking some up. Let me know what you think about them! Hope this week is a better one for you!

  4. I bought some hemp protein powder a few weeks ago, and wasn't really happy with it. I will definitely need to dress it up a bit. Let me know how you like the seeds themselves. Have a great day!
