7th Week BFC Day 1

Hello all my BFC was not such a beautiful day as it has been, but it was productive. My Mom was feelin much better today, so I was able to go over and do laundry,  weigh myself, and of course see my folks and their 2 year old golden retriever Sadie.
I am down a 1 lb since I last weighed myself...I can hardly believe it, mostly cuz I've been drinking red wine (some days more than I should) and still loosin weight. It is blowin my mind, even though I know I've lost weight, I feel better, my clothes fit better, and the scale is down I still in my head feel that I am 150, Instead of 139. I really don't know what to do with myself. Maybe I associate weight loss with deprivation and no wine...anyway, I told my hubby tonight that I think this is a realistic plan for me and not just a diet.

Breakfast: greek yogurt with lemon barleans and black coffee

Lunch: salad, with spinach, purple cabbage, celery, 1 hard boiled egg, 1 mini sweet pepper, cashews, 10 kalamata olives, roasted chicken, ranch dressing.

Dinner: 1/2c wild rice. chicken, veggie mix of mushrooms, artichokes, mini peppers, brussel sprouts
yukon jack in hot water, and 1 corona.


  1. Good for you Katie!!! Congrats on your loss!!! Tell me, how is the lemon barleans? I have wanted to try it but am hesitant that it would be too sour and it is almost $20 a bottle so hate to waste $$ on something I might not enjoy. I LOVE lemony things but not tart lemony things. I heard it is very good. YOur food intake looks great!! Keep up the good work!! p.s I would give my eye teeth, right hand & right leg to weigh 139 again!! I think I was in 10th grade when I weighed that much (or I should say, that little!)((sigh))Oh well, I am in my 40s and not 16 so I will be very happy with 150. :) I am about a size 10 at that weight and that works for me!   2. HI Katie, Awesome on the loss. I know that is very exciting when it goes down instead of up.
    I love barleans - but it has been so expensive lately I have not bought any.

  3. Thank you Sherri and Rosalie, your encouragement is so helpful. Sherri, I recommend the lemon barleans it is not too sour...I know what you mean about not wanting to waste money especially since they are expensive. I bought the small size for that very reason, the good thing is it will last a long time. I usually drizzle it on oatmeal or plain greek yogurt. When I am done with the lemon I think I will try the strawberry.
    And I get a kick out of your comment "I would give my eye teeth, right hand & right leg" you are one funny lady!!!

    Congrats on your weight loss! Like Sherri, I would LOVE to weigh 139 again, lol. Isn't it great how easy the BFC is. Once you figure it out it does not even feel like a diet. I find that amazing. Wishing you the very best.

  5. Congrats on the pound!! Every pound I see come off I get excited. :) I agree on the Barleans, I wish it was a little cheaper and I would totally buy them, but right now I can't. Hope you get to see more weight lose soon. Your doing so good with the food choices. They all sound wonderfully yummy. :)
